In a battle of rookie quarterbacks, the one with the Heisman trophy came out on top today. In a rainy affair that featured a safety, an absolute deluge, and the Jaguars only scoring in 1 quarter, the Panthers’ Cam Newton finally got a win; with notably less passing yards than usual. On the brighter side of things, Maurice Jones-Drew looked good in the loss and picked up a 100 yard game, going for 122 yards overall.
