The Jacksonville jaguar’s municipal stadium takes us back to the time when Ever Bank Financial Corporation came forward and made a coalition with Jaguars and laid the foundation of Ever Bank field. Ever Bank was a big renowned bank at that time with a capacity of more than 2000 workers. Its headquarters were located in Jacksonville.
In the history of Jaguars the historical day of August 18, 1995 can not be forgotten because on this day Jaguars got a chance to play their first game on this newly built stadium. Every football lover was excited to see this match. It was a remarkable event because the team players were playing their first match on home ground. It is believed that this particular stadium took very less time to build up.
Later the old structure that was Gator Bowl was damaged and demolished due to some reasons and near to that place a new stadium was created which used to lie across the bank of St. Johns River. Later on, this popular stadium was regarded as the best stadium in the US. Many TV channels and broadcasters commented upon this stadium saying that there is no other ideal place for football matches other than this huge stadium.
The US government spent around $63 million on the construction of this well cherished stadium. The stadium is located in Florida. Earlier this stadium used to be known by Gator Bowl stadium. It was in 1997 the stadium was assigned a new name that is Alltel Stadium. In the recent years this stadium is successfully hosting many big football events .The best part is that it consists of huge seating capacity. In 1993 it was decided to extend the contracts and was permitted to host the famous Florida versus Georgia classic football tournament. The increasing popularity of stadium led the national football team to shown interest in it.
The stadium now gained a universal applaud among the US citizens and that’s why it was awarded with the 30th NFL franchise award .This achievement was a great success for this stadium. Its history highlights that it has always been a dream stadium for any football player to play on. It started its journey with an exhibition match and now it turned out to be one of the exquisite stadiums in US.
The history reveals that its original structure was set up in 1949 and till from that date this has been the centre of attraction. It is situated in Jacksonville which is comes under one of the beautiful cities of US. Initially it was constructed with the help of steel but later with the innovation of technology it was designed in a more modern way. There were clubs associated with this stadium who used to host matches from time to time.
Therefore it can be said going through at its long past history which shows how the city of Jacksonville is gifted with world renowned Jacksonville Jaguars stadium where players from all over the country play here and spectators enjoy them playing.
